Description: a commone weed of hot, dry wasteland throught temperate regions.
The vine has prostrate stems up to 2.4 m long. Foliage often spare to
moderately covered with silky and/ or bristly silver hairs. Bright yellow
flower. Common in Eastern Europe to south-East Asia.
Constituents: steroidal saponins, flavonoids, protodioscin and
prototribestin in major saponins.
Action: Aphrodisiac, hepatoprotective.
Suggested dosage: take 20-40 drops, 1-2 times a day in a little
fruit juice or eater with food or as directed by your health care practitioner.
The use in children under 12 years of age has not been recommended due to lack
of adequate data. Keep out of reach
of children.
Dosage (Tincture): 1g-5g per day. 40 drops = 2ml
Fertility, Pregnancy and Lactation: Safety during pregnancy and
lactation has not been established. In the absence of sufficient data, the use
during pregnancy and lactation is not recommended.
