Common Name: chamomile, German chamomile

Description: Annual herb to 0.5 m in height with feathery leaves and attractive simple white and yellow daisy-like flower heads. Orginated in Eastern Europe and the Near East; widely cultivated especially in Argentina. Extract produced by a cold extraction process is yellow.
Constituents: Essential oil, apigenin, farnesene, fatty acids, polysaccharides, rutin.
Action: anti-inflammatory, antispasmodic muscles, sedative, ant allergic, anti-catarrhal, bitter tonic/digestive
Suggested use as a Traditional Herbal Remedies Only: food allergy, anorexia, indigestion, catarrh, colic, colitis, diarrhoea, gastritis, IBS, ulceration.
Suggested dosage: add 20-40 drops, 1-2 times a day in a little fruit juice or water with food or as directed by your health care practitioner. The use in children under 12 years of age has not been recommended due to lack of adequate data. Keep out of reach of children.
Dosage (Dry herb): 5g-10g per day.
Fertility, Pregnancy and Lactation: Safety during pregnancy and lactation has not been established. In the absence of sufficient data, the use during pregnancy and lactation is not recommended.
